Samaritan Medical Center has announced the recipients of its Outstanding Workers in Long Term Care (OWL) Award for December 2024. Jennifer Favry, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Samaritan Summit Village, and Madison Spicer, a CNA at Samaritan Keep Home, have been recognized for their exceptional service.
Favry received her nomination from a resident who praised her for her smile, compassionate care, and dedication to helping residents. Spicer was nominated by a fellow caregiver who stated: “Madison goes above and beyond when it comes to the residents at the Keep Home. She is always picking up extra shifts to help. The residents and their families absolutely love her. Madison is a true inspiration to this facility and is going to continue her nursing career with the Licensed Practical Nurse program.”
Both Favry and Spicer were honored with certificates and tokens of appreciation during ceremonies held at their respective facilities.
The OWL Awards are part of an ongoing initiative that allows patients, families, or colleagues to nominate outstanding caregivers throughout the year. More information about these awards can be found on Samaritan's website.
Samaritan’s long-term care services include round-the-clock skilled nursing care provided by caregivers at both Samaritan Summit Village and Samaritan Keep Home. These facilities offer assistance with daily activities under the supervision of licensed physicians. Additional services such as speech, occupational, and physical therapy are also available. Samaritan Summit Village further provides Assisted Living options designed for those who require some assistance while maintaining an independent lifestyle.
