Massena Central School District in St. Lawrence County topped the list with most students enrolled during 2022-23 school year

Massena Central School District had the highest enrollment among St. Lawrence County school districts, welcoming 2,429 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were girls, and 49.1% were boys.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 83.2% of Massena Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the 17 districts in St. Lawrence County, Gouverneur Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,458 students, while Ogdensburg City School District welcomed 1,457 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.
