71 percent of applicants to Clarkson University were admitted for fall 2018

At Clarkson University, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 69 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Potsdam enrolled 4,274 students in fall 2018, including 3,091 in undergraduate and 1,183 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 32 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (80 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (5 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 6,885 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
