Medicare Scam
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has received information regarding a scam involving Medicare information. Individuals in the area have been receiving phone calls that appear to be coming from a Doctor’s Office and are being asked for their Medicare Information. The Sheriff’s Office recommends that you never provide personal information over the phone unless you know the caller. If you doubt the validity of a phone call, hang up and call your healthcare provider directly.
