Senator Mark Walczyk has publicly supported President Donald Trump’s recent Executive Order on election integrity, issued on March 25, 2025. This order, featuring elements from legislation sponsored by Walczyk, aims to maintain the integrity of American elections by securing voter identification, enforcing citizenship requirements, and ensuring fair vote counts.

"I am thrilled to align with President Trump on the critical importance of safeguarding our electoral process," Walczyk said. "The SAVE Act that I sponsor fits seamlessly with the President's vision for a transparent and accountable election system."

The Executive Order addresses implementing voter ID requirements, maintaining accurate voter registration, and preventing foreign interference. It particularly aligns with Walczyk's legislation S2345, connected with the SAVE Act, administered by the Department of Homeland Security, to verify voter eligibility by ensuring undocumented individuals do not receive benefits they are not entitled to. Walczyk's bill requires New York to cooperate with the SAVE Act, assisting federal authorities in confirming voter citizenship status. Additionally, Section 8 of the order enhances measures against foreign nationals contributing to political campaigns, similar to Walczyk's S1774, which prohibits contributions from hostile foreign nations in New York elections. These actions reflect a commitment to uphold electoral integrity.

"Every New Yorker deserves to know that their vote counts and that our elections are free from fraud and manipulation," Walczyk stated. "The SAVE Act embodies this commitment by promoting common-sense policies that enhance election security and uphold the democratic process. I applaud the President for taking decisive action on these crucial issues plaguing the electoral process."

Walczyk has faced pushback from the majority regarding his pursuit of election law reforms but remains committed to opposing initiatives that could jeopardize electoral transparency. "I have been accused of exaggerating claims, but the reality is clear—the majority is actively working to register non-citizens to vote. Their proposed legislation opens the door to potential fraud within our electoral system. Fortunately, our President understands that voting is a right, duty, and privilege reserved exclusively for U.S. citizens.”

Walczyk remains firm in his stance to protect voting rights for U.S. citizens.
