75.8% of Jefferson County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 117,634 citizens living in Jefferson County in 2021, 75.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 89,102 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 47,431 were male, constituting 53.2%, and 41,671 were female, making up 46.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Jefferson County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
