CANTON VILLAGE: Municipal Offices Close as Precaution

Closed

Canton village issued the following announcement on Dec. 15.

The Town and Village of Canton have announced that the Municipal Building at 60 Main Street will be closed to unrestricted public access beginning Thursday, December 17. “We are taking this precaution due to the rise in COVID cases in the community,” says Mayor Michael Dalton. “The goal is to reduce exposure caused by people moving in and of the building.”

Town and Village offices will remain staffed; appointments may be made by calling the Town Clerk’s office at 315/386-3735 or the Village Clerk’s office at 315/386-2871 x1. A dropbox for municipal offices is located in the foyer of the building for all correspondence and payments (it is monitored by closed-circuit security cameras).

Town Court remains closed, with all proceedings taking place virtually, and the Canton Recreation Pavilion is closed.

Mayor Dalton and Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley continue to work together to promote municipal protocols and procedures that are in compliance with State guidelines and ensure the health and safety of all Canton residents.
