Senator Walczyk and the Senate Republican Conference gathered with Congresswoman Elise Stefanik in Albany to address concerns over what they describe as the Democratic Party’s failures in New York. The group highlighted issues such as crime, affordability, and agricultural support, criticizing the legislative session for excessive spending and misguided policies.
Congresswoman Stefanik expressed her dissatisfaction with Governor Kathy Hochul’s leadership, stating, “Here we are, another year, another failed radical reckless agenda and legislative session in New York State, passed by single Democratic rule, led by the worst Governor in America, Kathy Hochul. I dubbed her the worst Governor in America because she is.” She further criticized the state’s $254 billion budget as being detrimental to workers, families, farmers, law enforcement, small businesses, and manufacturers. According to Stefanik, these policies contribute to a significant exodus of residents and businesses from New York.
Senator Walczyk echoed these sentiments by saying that Governor Hochul is leading the state towards decline. He appreciated Congresswoman Stefanik’s presence in Albany to share insights from Washington and discuss strategies for improving New York’s trajectory.
