Lesley A. Lanzi has made significant contributions to non-profit organizations, focusing on healthcare and education throughout her career. For 13 years, she has been the Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the Foundation at Fulton-Montgomery Community College (FMCC). In this role, she helped raise substantial funds for campus capital projects and facilitated scholarships, grants, and equipment for FMCC students.
Her efforts led to the construction of key facilities such as the Allen House, Rao Theater, Raiders Cove, FAM Financial Technology Center, and Cyber Security Range. Recognizing her leadership in healthcare, Ms. Lanzi received the Juliette Low Women of Distinction Award from the Mohawk Pathways Council of the Girl Scouts in 2021. The award honors women who demonstrate leadership and embody Scouting values.
Before FMCC, Ms. Lanzi served as Director of the Foundation at St. Mary’s Hospital for two years and held a similar position at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital for 14 years before its merger with St. Mary’s.
Ms. Lanzi is also active in community service as a member of the Amsterdam Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. She was the first female alderwoman for Amsterdam City.
Outside her professional life, Ms. Lanzi enjoys spending time with family at one of their five restaurants. Married to Luigi “Louie” Lanzi for 44 years, they have three sons: Luigi, Lorenzo, and Lucas; two daughters-in-law: Ella and Alison; and three grandchildren: Madeline, Max, and Marguerite.
